"How long will my order take to arrive?"
Premades will be dispatched the same/next working day after payment. Custom orders are currently taking on average 1.5-2 weeks. During quieter periods, orders are completed in around in 4-7 days. During peak periods (such as Christmas), the wait can be 3-4 weeks, so please get your orders in early to avoid disappointment if you have a particular deadline. I will confirm timeframe at the time of ordering.It will then take an additional 1-3 working days (1st Class) for the Royal Mail to deliver your item (2-5 working days for 2nd Class/Standard Parcels).
"My hammocks haven't arrived yet
I will always drop you a line to notify you of the dispatch of your order. The Royal Mail doesn't consider a package 'lost' until 15 working days have passed. In the meantime, please do check with your local sorting office to check if it's waiting for you there. From past experience, not all posties leave a 'while you were out card', even though they should. If your package still hasn't arrived, it's only then can we claim compensation. Please do keep me informed if you have any worries. If you have purchased the Special/Recorded Delivery service, there will be a tracking number.
"Which methods of payment do you accept?"
I accept Paypal, cheques & postal orders. Please note there is a 7 working days clearance time, for cheque payments.
"How much is P&P?"
All orders will be sent via the Royal Mail. Orders up to £42 and will be sent via 1st Class Standard post and are covered in the event of loss. Recorded Delivery is optional at 75p extra and recommended for orders between £30-£42 for added peace of mind in the event that your package does not arrive in a timely manner, to be added to 1st Class rate. If your area has a history of deliveries not turning up, then tracking is also recommended. Orders over £42 will be sent via standard parcels with adequate insurance. You will be charged the exact amount according to their tariff list, according to weight, plus 50p to cover packaging etc. If an overcharge is made due to it being very close to the weight price bracket, a refund will be promptly refunded. Undercharges will be waivered. If you would like any other Royal Mail service such as Special Delivery (Next Day with tracking) or Second Class post, this can be arranged - just let me know :o)
"Are the hanging hooks included?
We do not include these in the price as you may already have a preferred method of hanging or you may have a load of these at home.We therefore wanted to keep hammock prices to a minimum and let you choose whether you required these as an option.
Cost of hooks are 25p each for the metal, 10p for the plactic ones.
"Do you have anything in a plain fabric?"
Yes - I can get hold of plain fabrics in most colours. I would ask that you wait an extra couple of days for me to order this in for you.
"What if I can't see a fabric/size that is to my liking?"
Again - no problem! Just let me know which fabric you're after and I'll try my best to source it for you. I can also adapt most hammock designs to your size specifications. Alternatively, if you already have a favourite fabric - just send it to me and I'll just charge you for my time and any fleece or attachments required.
"How do I wash your hammocks?"
To keep the pongs at bay, it's best to launder your hammocks 1-2 times a week. You can pop them straight in the washing machine at 40C with your normal detergent. It's best not to tumbledry as the hammocks contain fleece. However, I find that they do tend to dry pretty quickly. Please remove all hooks before washing. If you want to, you can iron them on a cool setting on the cotton side only.
